Resolving the patterns that insight alone can't reach

What is Integrated Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Think of a pattern you've tried to change. Something you've read about, journalled about, perhaps talked through in therapy for months or years. Something you understand — and yet haven't changed.

That gap, between knowing and actually shifting, is exactly where my work begins.

Integrated Clinical Hypnotherapy is a focused, multidisciplinary approach that goes beyond managing symptoms. It identifies and works directly with the root causes of the patterns holding you back — the ones that persist despite your best intellectual efforts, because they were never formed through thought in the first place.

How It Works

Most of what runs your life was shaped long before you had the language to describe it. Early experiences, childhood moments, times when your system needed to adapt quickly, these leave encoded patterns in the body and subconscious that no amount of insight alone can reach. Understanding where a pattern comes from is valuable. But for the patterns that feel most stubborn, most irrational, most immune to reasoning — insight is rarely enough.

That's why I work across four stages.

The first is Access. Using clinical hypnotherapy, I create the conditions for a different quality of attention — one where the analytical, filtering mind becomes quieter, and the subconscious becomes genuinely reachable. This is not about trance dependency, loss of control, or being made to believe anything. You remain fully aware throughout. What changes is the depth of access — to the stored emotional responses, the body memories, the patterns that have been quietly running beneath the surface.

The second is Relationship. This is where Internal Family Systems comes in. IFS recognises that we each carry multiple inner parts — the inner critic, the people-pleaser, the part that shuts down when things get too close, the younger part still living inside an old fear. These parts aren't problems to be eliminated. They were formed to protect you, and they've been working hard ever since. The work is to turn toward them with genuine curiosity: what are you protecting? What were you responding to when you first took on this job? When a part finally feels met rather than managed, something genuinely new becomes possible.

The third is Healing. Once a part has been heard and trusts that the original threat has passed, we can offer what was missing at the moment the pattern first formed — safety where there was fear, recognition where there was dismissal, a felt sense of enough-ness where there was shame. In the hypnotic state, the body does not distinguish between a vividly imagined experience and a real one. New associations form — not as intentions, but as felt realities, landing in the same place the original wound was encoded.

The fourth, and often most overlooked, is Integration. When a protective pattern dissolves, it leaves a gap. Without something built in its place, the system will often reach back for the old architecture — not because it believes in it, but because it's all it knows. This stage is about rehearsal: experiencing, at a neurological level, what it actually feels like to move through the world differently. To receive care without bracing. To hold a boundary without the old fear flooding in. Repetition at this level isn't intellectual — it rewires.

Why Clients Choose This Path

My clients come having already tried to think their way out. They've accumulated the understanding. What they haven't had is direct access to the layer where the pattern actually lives.

This approach works because it speaks the subconscious mind's language — not argument, but felt experience. It's efficient because it addresses causes rather than symptoms: 85% of my clients resolve their target issue within just 2 to 6 weeks. And it's empowering by design — my goal from the very first session is to equip you to become your own healer, not to keep you in therapy indefinitely.

You don't need to relive trauma to heal from it. You don't need to fight yourself to change. And you don't need years of sessions to reach something lasting.

Drawing on clinical hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and the neuroscience of lasting change, I work in four stages: accessing what lives beneath the pattern, building a real relationship with the part that runs it, creating an embodied experience of something genuinely different, and integrating that into who you are becoming for a permanent change.
